I am an aspiring artist with a passion for storytelling and visual effects. I pride myself on my problem solving and leadership skills.
Background
Films have always fascinated me, but I never saw a career in Hollywood as an option. I excelled in Maths and Physics throughout school, achieving 9s in my GCSEs and A/A*s in my A-Levels. I find technical skills to be intuitive, so I explored a career in engineering. It was the path that came naturally, but I didn’t consider the path that I wanted. I began to study Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London in October 2020 and ended the course early in March 2021 in order to apply myself in Visual Effects. I found my passion and knew that I had to pursue it.
My first step in this journey was to teach myself to use Blender. I spent a year and a half learning any techniques or tools I could get my hands on. This time not only allowed me to understand the artistry behind this industry, but also to create my portfolio of work that I used to apply to Escape Studios.
This university has allowed me to use industry standard softwares to create classwork and personal projects that are beyond what I thought possible. I have given my all to every module of the course, so that I am proud of every module. As I’m currently finishing my third year, I have been the 2D lead of group projects multiple times, as chosen by my tutors due to my diligent work.
I am proficient in the following programs:
Personal Interests
I try to use any avenues available to express my creativity, including creative writing. Since 2020, I have met weekly to collectively tell stories in the medium of Dungeons and Dragons, using our luck and problem solving to mediate the outcome of conflicts. I also try to use my artistic ability to enhance the game, by creating maps and other assets.
